Yorkrakine Hall, WA, Ballardong Nyoongar Country

Yorkrakine Hall stands on the traditional lands of the Ballardong Nyoongar People.
Yorkrakine’s Agricultural Hall will celebrate its 100th birthday in 2026. The site the hall was eventually constructed on was the third site allocated to the Yorkrakine Progress Association for this purpose after previous sites were erroneously developed. Firstly, by the building of a school on the site allocated for the hall and secondly by a community dam, which was sunk on the allocated site. The hall was eventually built in its present location – third time lucky!
Festival of Small Halls returns to Yorkrakine on Thursday, 14 August 2025 with Charlie A’Court and Emily Barker.
Opening the show will be local act Bryce Hudson!

Born and raised in the country town of Trayning, Bryce Hudson grew up surrounded by music and community. Inspired by his father — a singer and guitarist in the beloved local band The Motley Cockys — it was only natural that he followed a similar path. From the age of five, Bryce began his musical journey with classical piano, laying a foundation of discipline and expression that continues to shape his artistry today. With years of experience and a deep love for storytelling through song, his music blends tradition with personal evolution, paying quiet homage to his roots while forging a sound all his own.
