Willyabrup, 20 April 2023

Willyabrup Community Hall, WA, Wadandi Country

Willyabrup Community Hall stands on the traditional lands of the Wadandi People.

The Willyabrup Community Hall is so small that last year the Small Halls show had to overflow into a tent. Over 100 people enjoyed a great night with great music, and Willyabrup are looking forward to a similar event this year. The community’s strong spirit is demonstrated by the fact that they have hosted a Christmas party in the hall for the last 100 years.

Festival of Small Halls returns to Willyabrup on Thursday, 20 April 2023 with Colin Lillie and Iona Fyfe.

Opening the show will be local act Victoria Palermo!

Victoria Palermo is an Argentinian singer songwriter who finds music as a way of self-discovery. Victoria has been playing live shows all over Australia for the past three years, sharing her melancholic pop, soul and folky songs, as she reflects her essence in her music. Her lyrics (both in Spanish and English) and melodies, somehow sweet and sexy, portray a lot of heartbreak, illusion and hope while experiencing love, or unrequited love most times, allowing anybody to feel identified with her lyrics. She has released an album of her own (El reloj), plus 4 singles, with another one on its way, and several collabs with artists from all over the world, such as Israel, Italy, the Canary Islands, and Perú. It’s only a matter of time until she releases a tune with one of her own Aussie mates!

Meals (with a vegan option) will be available at the Hall from 6pm.
