The Caves Hall, QLD, Darumbal Country

The Caves Hall stands on the traditional lands of the Darumbal People.
The Caves Hall was originally known as The Caves School of Arts when it was built on the site in 1925. It was used for picture nights and dances.
In April 1947 the Fitzroy Public Hall at Etna Creek was purchased as an extension of the hall. In 1947 electricity was installed and power in 1948. A dinner dance was held in the hall in 1999 to celebrate 75 years and old-time dances are still held at the hall to this day.
Festival of Small Halls rolls into The Caves on Sunday, 13 July 2025 with Champagne Weather and Charm of Finches.
Opening the show will be local act Ben Brady Blues!

Meet Ben Brady, the talented acoustic blues artist from the Capricorn Coast, Australia. With over 20 years experience playing music, Ben has honed his craft and developed a unique style that combines the soulful sounds of blues with the raw energy of rock and roll. Ben has always been deeply connected to the music scene in his hometown. He began playing guitar at a young age, and it wasn’t long before he was performing on street corners and local festivals. As his passion for music grew, so did his talent, and he soon found himself traveling up and down the east coast, sharing his music with new audiences.
Over the years, Ben has played with some of his biggest heroes in the blues world, and he has developed a devoted following of fans who appreciate his authentic sound and electrifying live performances. When he’s not on stage, Ben can often be found doing what he loves.. writing songs!! With a voice that is both powerful and soulful, and a guitar style that is both raw and refined, Ben Brady is a true force to be reckoned with in the world of acoustic blues!!!
