Tarwin Lower Mechanics Institute Hall, VIC, Gunai Kurnai & Bunnerong Country
Tarwin Lower Mechanics Institute Hall stands on the traditional lands of the Gunai Kurnai & Bunnerong People.
The Tarwin Lower Mechanics Institute has been hosting community events and live shows since 1888. The Hall and surrounding parkland plays a pivotal role in bringing our diverse community groups together for meetings, markets, health and wellbeing sessions and live music. The old girl is remembered by many as the first school in the area, one time RSL and a polling booth for many elections. The Committee of Management is proud to host the Festival of Small Halls Tour in 2023.
Festival of Small Halls returns to Tarwin Lower on Saturday, 18 March 2023 with Scott Cook and Folk Bitch Trio.
