Tambellup Hall, WA, Goreng Country

Tambellup Hall stands on the traditional lands of the Goreng People.

The former Agricultural Hall, now the Tambellup Hall, is of historical and social significance, hosting social and civic events since 1906. It’s a fine example of Inter-war Free Classical architecture with the 1926 front addition that makes a substantial contribution to the historic character of the main streetscape of Tambellup.

After its construction in 1906, the Agricultural Hall became the central venue for the town and district social events. By 1923, the hall was too small. In 1926 additions included the Road Board office, boardroom, vestibule, bio box (for films), ladies dressing room and a supper room. At that time, the Tambellup Road Board boundary was reduced when Cranbrook formed their own Road Board.

Festival of Small Halls returns to Tambellup on Saturday, 23 August 2025 with Charlie A’Court and Emily Barker.

Opening the show will be local act Andrew Bradshaw (AB)!

Andrew Bradshaw (AB): AB is a Tambellup local who has been making music for many years and last year released his first recorded album titled “View from Pindellup Road”. AB’s music and songs have grown from his years of experience as a farmer and shearer, and a life spent on the land in rural Western Australia.
