Talgarno, 6 April 2023

Talgarno Hall, VIC

The historic Talgarno Hall, or Athenaeum as it was originally called, was built in 1889 and is the oldest community hall in Towong Shire. It is still the heart of the Talgarno community having hosted countless balls, concerts, dances, and social events over the years. The hall is currently being renovated while retaining its historic appeal with timber-lined walls and vaulted ceiling.

Festival of Small Halls rolls into Talgarno on Thursday, 6 April 2023 with Scott Cook and Folk Bitch Trio.

Opening the show will be local act Pete and Rowan!

Bethanga’s Peter Klein is an award-winning singer-songwriter and local children’s author, who has written several school drama productions and has been a three-time finalist in the Victorian Poetry Slam championships. Eldorado’s Rowan Brown is a talented multi-instrumentalist who plays drums, double bass, brass, wind, guitar, and percussion, and is very much in demand as a session musician. Both Pete and Rowan perform in the dynamic Ozzie folk/pop/rock/Celtic band ‘The RemnantZ’. They occasionally perform as a dynamic duo where anything might happen!
