Robe Institute Hall, SA, Boandik Country

 Robe Institute Hall stands on the traditional lands of the Boandik People.

Built in 1869, the Robe Mechanics Institute was the heart and soul of social and educational meetings for the community. According to newspaper reports, the Robe Institute was the first hall in the South-East as part of the Mechanics Institute movement, a concept that began in Scotland in the late 1700s to provide educational opportunities to the working classes.

Festival of Small Halls rolls into Robe on Sunday, 11 September 2022 with Mal Webb and Kylie Morrigan and Chris Tamwoy.

Child Admission (Aged 12 and Under – Must Be Accompanied By An Adult) – Free
