Macleay Island Community Centre Hall, QLD, Quandamooka Country

Macleay Island Community Hall stands on the traditional lands of the Quandamooka People.
Festival of Small Halls returns to Macleay Island on Thursday, 15 December 2022 with Inn Echo and Sam Buckingham.
Opening the show will be local act Maibre!

Emerging Quandamooka artist Maibre is inspired by an eclectic mix of musical genres including rhythm and blues, rock and neo soul. Maibre’s deep expressive vocals have led her to appear on stage with the Beddy Rays. Since her debut at the Quandamooka Festival earlier this year Maibre has gone on to play at the Stradbroke island markets and bar gigs around Brisbane. Both her original and cover sets are shaped by her family and experience as a young Quandamooka woman, her connections to Country and deep love for her culture.
Meals will be available at the Hall, catered by Lions Club Macleay Island, with hamburgers, a vegetarian option, sausage sizzle, spring rolls and Dutch pancakes on sale.
Bar Service will be available at the Hall, catered by Tide Festival (Chamber of Commerce).
