Lancelin Shire Hall, WA, Yued – Noongyar Country

Lancelin Shire Hall stands on the traditional lands of the Yued – Noongyar People.

Festival of Small Halls returns to Lancelin on Sunday, 7 May 2023 with Colin Lillie and Iona Fyfe.

Opening the show will be local act Savanah Solomon!

West Australian singer-songwriter Savanah Solomon has been playing music since age 7, inspired by her dad who always had a guitar in hand. Born and raised in country WA, her upbringing and deep passion for story-telling has led her to become a well-renowned songwriter in the WA Music Scene.

Savanah’s folk country heartbreaker Lost in Love received wide praise; Reaching number #3 in the AMRAP charts, and receiving Triple J Airplay. Savanah also received Double J Airplay with the release of Rainbow in late 2021, and did an extensive tour throughout Western Australia – while raising awareness around Mental Health, and raising over two thousand dollars towards Beyond Blue.

Savanah has also recently become a successful recipient of the Next Level Regional Grant – supported by the State Governments Regional Arts and Cultural Investment Program, Kingkira Group; with the funds going towards the recording of her new EP, Where the River Meets the Sea, releasing May 12, 2023. The title track of her upcoming EP, released March 23, tells the profound story of a young lady outgrowing a small country town, who is feeling somewhat stuck and stagnant in life. The Desert, available worldwide April 17, is the second single from Savanah’s forthcoming EP; The Desert takes us along a dusty outback road with Savanah’s haunting timbre wise beyond her years.
