Kooralbyn Community Hall, QLD, Mununjali Country

Kooralbyn Community Hall stands on the traditional lands of the Mununjali People.

Hidden amongst the gumtrees, with a verandah out the front and a verandah out the back, and a red Santa Chair. On a no through road that ends at a school, the Community Centre is one of Kooralbyn’s best kept secrets! With numerous activities available for young and old, musical performances and other events, ‘The Hall’, as it is known is now entertaining the growing local community and surrounds. With the inclusion of the Festival of Small Halls, our 40 year old hall is coming back to life.

Festival of Small Halls rolls into Kooralbyn on Tuesday, 12 December 2023 with Jackie Marshall and Assynt.

Opening the show will be local act Nicky Convine!

Nicky Convine is one of the strongest female singers to emerge on the Scenic Rim in years, drawing bold comparisons to greats such as Janis Joplin and songwriters such as Neil Young. Fronting folk and rock bands from a young age, this country girl with the powerhouse voice has established herself as one of QLD’s busiest acts and most promising songwriters. Vibing earth medicine into her music, she writes about the sun and the stars, and of her experiences of love and loss. Her sound exhibits a wide range of folk and rock influences, as well as Nicky’s talent for distilling the pure essence of everyday life and people into her art.

Meals will be available at the Hall, lactose and glutenfree items available from 5.30pm. Bar Service will be available at the Hall including soft drinks, water, beer, red wine, white wine, coffee & tea., from 5.30pm , catered by KCCMC.
