St Saviours Cathedral Hall, NSW, Gundungurra Country

St Saviours Cathedral Hall stands on the traditional lands of the Gundungurra People.

The renovated St Saviours Hall was opened by the Australian composer Peter Sculthorpe, which lends incredibly strong musical links to its current form, so it seems perfect that the Festival of Small Halls is returning to this location! The original stone portion of this hall was the pro-cathedral (parish church prior to the cathedral) and is the section of the hall you can see in this picture. In 1913 a stone extension was constructed and in 1923 a brick toilet block added. The roof was tiled following the fires of 1925 and 1961. In 2008 the most recent modifications were made.

Festival of Small Halls returns to Goulburn on Friday, 12 January 2024 with Ryan Young and Alana Wilkinson.

Opening the show will be local act Lou Wurth!

Lou Wurth, the enchanting contemporary folk singer-songwriter, captivates audiences with her ethereal voice, poetic lyricism, and soul-stirring acoustic melodies. Hailing from a small town, Lou’s music weaves a tapestry of introspection and connection, inviting listeners into a world where stories unfold. Her atmospheric music evokes a sense of nostalgia and introspection, making Lou Wurth a luminary in the realm of contemporary folk, where authenticity and artistic sincerity shine brightly.

There will be snacks, and hot & cold drinks available from a coffee van on the night.
