Goomeri

Greeted by the stately clock tower, visitors to Goomeri are offered many a delight, from antique jewellery and furniture to speciality cheese and pumpkins. Famous for The Great Australian Pumpkin Roll, which is not a pastry, the Goomeri Pumpkin Festival invites you to the top of Policeman’s hill to see how far you can hurtle your pumpkin!

The streets are bustling in this friendly town. Try homemade pies and olives, browse the emporium or travel just a little out of town to discover the historic Booubyian Homestead. If you get thirsty from grazing on gourmet food, you’ll be relieved to discover that Goomeri is the gateway to the South Burnett wine district, with numerous vineyards and cellar doors to browse. Cheers!
