Glenlyon Shire Hall, VIC, Dja Dja Wurrung Country

Glenlyon Shire Hall stands on the traditional lands of the Dja Dja Wurrung People.
Small Halls don’t come much cuter than Glenlyon Shire Hall, just ten kilometres north east of Victoria’s famed spa town, Daylesford.
Originally the centre of the Parish, since it was built in the 1890s the Glenlyon Shire Hall has played host to a variety of visitors and activities including council staff, dinners and balls.
Since being handed over to the community, in more recent decades the hall and its grand facade have been renovated to a high spec to include a commercial kitchen and, importantly for those chilly Victorian nights, reverse cycle air conditioning!
Glenlyon Shire Hall now plays host to all manner of fun activities – bush dances, parties, weddings, art exhibitions, playgroups, gardening festivals, local markets and in the words of the hall’s enthusiastic custodians – as much entertainment as the community can plan.
Festival of Small Halls returns to Glenlyon on Wednesday, 6 April 2022 with Jack Carty and Charm of Finches.
Opening the show will be local act Glenlyon Ukulele Team!
The ukulele is an ideal instrument for young and old – and we have both, players 10-70 years of age. All members are residents of Glenlyon, who play together for fun. Music tends to lean towards older memories!
The Glenlyon Ukulele Group have been practising every Wednesday and they are ready to open the Festival of Small Halls in Glenlyon!
The Hall committee and other volunteers will be catering light refreshments (hot and cold) prior to the show and during interval including tea/coffee. Food will be available including sausage rolls and duck pies, veg curry, antipasto plates and drinks on sale before the concert and during interval. Hall committee will provide a bar from 6pm to close.
