Galong Memorial Hall, NSW, Wiradjuri and Ngunawal Country

Galong Memorial Hall stands on the traditional lands of the Wiradjuri and Ngunawal People.

Galong Memorial Hall was built in 1922 in memory of those lost in WW1. It has hosted many dances over the years, even had its own local four piece band called the Grovenors. Money was raised at the dances for the Country Women’s Association, Red Cross, Galong Progress Association and other charities. It is still used for ANZAC Day and local gatherings.
