Felton
Felton is a tiny town located at the headwaters of the Murray Darling Basin. Tiny, but busy. Each year the picturesque town attracts up to 10,000 visitors for the Felton Food Festival and you can recreate some of the incredible fare that you taste or cook with celebrity chefs in a cookbook called ‘Felton… A Taste of the Valley: Recipe’s and Stories’.
With rich black soil and sub-tropical climate Felton Farmers grow all manner of crops all year round including sorghum, corn, wheat, barley, chickpeas, mungbeans, sunflowers, lettuce, cabbages, beetroot, celery and onions. The district is also a significant producer of beef, lamb, pork, poultry, dairy and eggs.
It’s no wonder Felton farmers put on the best Food Festival around!
