Eungella, 2 December 2022

Eungella Memorial Hall, QLD, Widi Country

Eungella Memorial Hall stands on the traditional lands of the Widi People.

This plucky little hall was originally an old army hospital situated at the Mackay Harbour and eventually donated to the RSL, lock stock and barrel. It was dismantled, loaded onto a truck and taken to its present location in the lush hinterlands of Eungella, where it was reconstructed by the loving hands of the community (ably assisted by a builder). The town of Eungella is a story of mountains, of magnificent views over the Pioneer Valley, of endless walking tracks and inspiring vistas. And of course, of a healthy platypus population for excited visitors to spot!

Opening the show will be local act BamJello!

What do you get when you cross a Canberran classically trained pianist, a super seasoned Sunshine Coast drummer and a Shania Twain-loving harmoniser? BamJello! They’ve come down from the mountains and in from the hills, swarming together to bring you this tuneful little trio featuring drums, guitar, tambo and a few other bells and whistles. These three gals are based in the Pioneer Valley and love performing a mix of genres, covers and originals. You supply the venue, they’ll bring the Bam!

Gourmet burgers and bar snacks will be available at the Hall from 5pm, catered by the Eungella State School P&C. Bar Service will be available from 5pm, also brought to you by the Eungella State School P&C.
