Cambooya

Giabal and Jarowair People

Cambooya is truly a picture book image of a quaint country town. Nestled on the city outskirts south of Toowoomba and just off the New England Highway, it was once the home to the famous author ‘Steele Rudd’ (pseudonym for Arthur Hoey Davis) who brought us famous Australian characters, Dad ‘n’ Dave. One certain stop in this beautiful town is the Bull and Barley Inn. Good old fashioned style hospitality is only part of the charm as this pub has been beautifully restored to its former grandeur and offers cold drinks from the original cedar chiller box and some of the best views across the Darling Downs
Population: 653
