Caldwell, 21 March 2025

Caldwell Hall, NSW, Barapa Barapa  Country

Caldwell Hall stands on the traditional lands of the Barapa Barapa  People.

Originally used for barracks and training during the second world war, the building was transported to its current site and established in 1947. The hall is used over 100 times a year from yoga, fire brigade, water and council meetings, Ladies Guild and Christmas concerts, and as a live music venue. It is the absolute and much loved primary hub of the Caldwell area.

Festival of Small Halls returns to Caldwell on Friday, 21 March 2025 with Hat Fitz and Cara and Lucy Farrell.

Opening the show will be local act Michael Hearn!

Mike Hearn is an Australian artist whose music captures the nostalgia of his homeland along the Murray River, blending folk sensibilities with intricate storytelling. With a distinctive sound that weaves jangly guitars and reflective themes about the struggles and joys of life, Mike’s songs invite listeners to reflect on personal experiences.

Drawing on his background as a professional drummer, Mike’s music has evolved into a unique, rhythm-driven style that blends elements of folk, indie, and alternative rock. Influenced by the likes of Paul Kelly, Luke Temple, Andy Shauf, and Cass McCombs, his work carries a sincere and adventurous spirit, guided by both creativity and a deep sense of curiosity.
