BRIGALOW, 27 OCTOBER 2021

BRIGALOW PUBLIC HALL, QLD

The Brigalow Public Hall is located on the Warrego Highway, in the small town of Brigalow. Brigalow is named for the tree – Acacia harpophylla, commonly known as brigalow, brigalow spearwood or orkor, an endemic tree of Australia. The Gamilaraay peoples know the tree as ‘Barranbaa’ or ‘Burrii’. We’ll be looking for the fresh picked melons and pumpkins at roadside farm gates – or will we be too early?

Festival of Small Halls rolls into Brigalow on Wednesday 27 October 2021 with Darren Hanlon and Kelly Brouhaha.

Opening the show will be local act Jane Zerbst!

Born and raised in Brigalow, Jane has always had a deep passion and affinity for music. Drawing inspiration from country pioneers like Johnny a cash and Dolly Parton, as well as folk artists like The Waifs, Jane brings a unique and soulful sound, covering artists from yesteryear through to today.

Meals will be available at the Hall but must be ordered and paid for at Brigalow General Store prior to the concert. Beef and Gravy Roll with Chips, Fish and Chips or Hamburger and Chips for $11. Dinner will be served in the Dining Room during intermission. Supper will be available for purchase immediately after the show.
