Bloomsbury, 12 July 2024

Bloomsbury Soldiers Memorial Hall, QLD, Yuwi/Gia Country

Bloomsbury Soldiers Memorial Hall stands on the traditional lands of the Yuwi/Gia People.

The Bloomsbury Soldiers Memorial Hall was erected on land donated many years ago by a local Bloomsbury identity, Sgt Charles Dougherty, a returned WW1 Anzac, to pay homage to the district ‘s past servicemen. It was his dream to provide a meeting place for locals to gather.

Bloomsbury is a friendly little community, made up of people from all walks of life. Farming, retirees, coastal-bush lifestyle residents looking for a sea/tree change. Not far from Airlie Beach, so make a weekend of it.

Festival of Small Halls rolls into Bloomsbury on Friday, 12 July 2024 with Quote The Raven and Hailey Calvert.
