Austinville, 5 October 2025

Mt Nimmel Hall, QLD, Yugambeh Country

Mt Nimmel Hall stands on the traditional lands of the Yugambeh People.

Mt Nimmel Hall is the meeting house for folk living in Austinville, a secluded lush valley in the Gold Coast hinterland, nestled between Mudgeeraba and Springbrook National Park’s world-heritage listed Gondwana Rainforest. Mt Nimmel Hall serves as the social focal point for the close-knit Austinville community. Built in the 1930s by volunteer locals, the hall has a charming old-world rustic feel and continues to be very much loved by the Austinville community.
Fun fact: the Austinville community are a quirky lot – they have their own “Republic” anthem which is sung with gusto prior to all hall community events.

The venue address is 237 Austinville Road, Austinville.

Festival of Small Halls returns to Austinville on Sunday, 5 October 2025 with Georgia Mooney and Joe H Henry.

Opening the show will be local act Neem!

Neem is a folk singer, songwriter, and performer whose music evokes the feeling of road trips, slow mornings, and evenings spent around a fire with friends. His sound blends introspective storytelling with melodic guitar work, offering songs that are as reflective as they are relatable—honest, occasionally cheeky, and deeply human.

Based between the Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast, Neem has collaborated and performed with a diverse range of artists, including Jollee, Tesh Batkins, Amela, Amira, Zola Sky, Tom Wensley, and James Davies. His co-writing credits with these artists reflect a commitment to creative connection and community-driven artistry. A passionate advocate for the local creative scene, Neem is dedicated to fostering a more inclusive and supportive music industry—one where emerging voices are heard and artists are empowered to thrive. Neem is always open to meaningful collaboration and conversation. Whether you’re an artist, fellow creative, or someone who simply resonates with the music, he welcomes the chance to connect.
